Meet Health Coach, Master of Habit Change & Founder of Chantelly Jean Wellness, Chantelly Jean. Her mission is to bring the health out of everyone.
She’s a champagne loving, guacaholic health coach with a passion for helping others on their journey to living a healthier and happier life. I’m all about balance because it feels good to eat healthy and workout hard but it also feels good to indulge in donuts and bubbles. When I’m not hustling on my career, I love to head to the beach, hike, sweat my buns off at spin class and spend quality time with my family, my sweet hottie of a hubs and our chocolate lab pup.
1 | Tell me about your company… What does your company do?
Chantelly Jean Wellness is all about bringing the healthy out in everyone. It all began a few years back when I started my blog as a creative outlet. I was super into learning as much as I could about nutrition and eating better. I wanted to learn how to make some of my favorite meals less harmful to everyone. The more I learned, the more I wanted to put it out there into the universe for not only myself but also those around me. Fast-forward to the present and I have turned it into a coaching business. I don’t just work with people to change the way they eat and tell them to workout, but I work with them on habit change and digging deeper. We get to the bottom of WHY they want change and the little things we can do to get there. I’m also working on my personal training certificate so that I cannot only help my clients feel good on the inside but also radiate confidence on the outside.
2 | How long have you been working in the coaching industry?
I started health coaching in 2017! I’ve spent numerous hours coaching friends, family and coworkers but now I am inspired to help others lead healthier lives. Health is a HUGE problem these days. There are so many sick people and it all stems from poor nutrition and lack of movement. I want everyone to have the opportunity to live a long and healthy life.
3 | What are some challenges you have faced being an entrepreneur?
Being an entrepreneur brings so many challenges to the table. It is not easy. You really have to hustle. You’re working 24/7 to build relationships with people around you to market yourself. You have to learn how to handle when people tell you they aren’t interested. You have to get thick skin and learn how to brush off those that laugh at you for wanting to work for yourself. You have to be self-motivated and willing to work even on the days you don’t want to. You just have to know that all of the speed bumps you hit are only making you better and stronger. You HAVE to fail in order to succeed. There are so many days where you feel like you aren’t going to make it. But then something great happens and reminds you why you are doing what you’re doing. You’re meant to be there. I think the mental game is definitely the biggest challenge.
4 | How much has social media impacted your business?
Social media is huge. Most everyone is on some type of platform and I think it is important to take advantage of. It’s FREE marketing. Of course you can pay for sponsored posts and ads but you can also hustle and get yourself out there for free. You have access to so many more people. You just have to get in front of them. I’ve definitely drawn in some super supportive and fun followers who are interested in creating a healthier life for themselves.
I’ve also met so many amazing BOSSBABES through social media. There are tons of girls on there who help keep me motivated when I need it the most. When I’m not feeling it, I know I can turn to them and they will push me to get back on track. They’re all about collaboration over competition, support and helping to get the word out about you.
5 | What motivated you to take the leap and start your own brand?
I’ve always had a strong passion for being healthy and working out. I grew up playing soccer, waterpolo and swimming. My parents workout every day and have always been great role models when it comes to health and wellness. After college, I really got into learning about nutrition and couldn’t stop. I went on my own health/fitness journey and found what works best for my body. I realized how much time and effort it took and thought why not try to help others?! It’s always been a passion of mine and I want to do something I love and something that doesn’t feel like work. This is it. I LOVE it and I am so passionate about it. Plus, I get to help people and that is so big to me.
6 | What advice can you give to your fellow millennial entrepreneurs?
My advice would be if you love it, dive in NOW. Don’t wait for the perfect moment to start something. There will never be a perfect moment. I wasted three years because I was afraid of the unknown. Don’t let that happen to you. And HUSTLE. It is not easy to work for yourself. It sounds glamorous but there are so many moving parts to it. Follow people like Gary Vee who pump you up and get you motivated. Surround yourself with people who will support your every move, even if you fail. Create a dream board. Get your desires out into the universe and remember to be grateful for everything you’ve been given up to this point.
7 | What is your favorite product and why?
Gahh this is SO hard because I have SOO many! Of course I have all of the kitchen staples that I cannot get enough. We always have coconut oil, almond milk, maca, cacao, collagen peptides, spirulina, green superfood, chlorella, chia seeds, flax seeds, hemp seeds, and cinnamon fully stocked. These have helped transform our health in so many ways. We get tons of vitamins and minerals, energy, vitality, heart health, etc. from these products.
I also LOVE our foam roller. It’s saved us tons of money on massages and chiropractor appointments. It’s great to work out the kinks and get you back to working out again right away.
8 | Who is your biggest influencer or inspiration?
Lauryn Evarts definitely started me on my journey years ago with her nutrition and fitness tips. I like to call her my spirit animal lol. I’ve always admired hers and Michael’s business brains and work ethic. They are very intelligent and great to follow. I also love Gary Vee and Tony Robbins because they are so motivating and make me feel like I can do anything I set my mind to. More recently though, I’ve found so many health and wellness bloggers and business owners that have really inspired me. It’s so amazing to see the hustle in all of these people and know how possible it is to reach your goals with enough hard work.
9 | Do you have any promos that Bossfidence Babes can use to get your products this holidays season?
I’m actually offering free one-hour health discovery sessions for the holiday season and into the New Year. I know a lot of those New Years resolutions are to lose the weight and get back in shape so I want to be here to help! I also know that the gym tends to clear out after a few months because people fall off the bandwagon so I want to be there to keep them going strong.
