Through my years of mimosa drinking and brunching, there have been a few mimosa recipes that have stood out from the pack. Here are 3 of my favorites for your next champagne campaign.
Blood Orange Mimuleosa
Yes, I said mim-mule-osa because this is a cross between a moscow mule and a mimosa.
What you’ll need:
- 3 blood oranges juiced
- 1 lime juiced
- 3-4 muddled mint leaves (2 mint leaves for garnish)
- Bottle of ginger bear (I prefer Trader Joe’s brand)
- Champagne; my current fave is Le Grand Courtâge
- Bottle of your choice Vodka
The process:
- Toss the juice of your blood orange and lime with the muddled mint leaves and 2 oz of vodka in a shaker with a cup of ice.
- Shake it like a polaroid picture
- Pour/strain the mixture evenly into 4-6 glasses about 1/2 way
- Add equal arts ginger beer and Le Grand Courtâge champagne.
- Garnish with a mint leaf
Holi-daze Mimosa
This recipe is great for Thanksgiving and the holidays. It is crisp, light and you garnish with Rosemary for a hint of cheer.
What you’ll need:
- 1 bottle of Winter Wassail from Trader Joe’s
- 1 bottle of Orange liqueur
- 5 sprigs of Rosemary
- 1 bag of frozen cranberries (or fresh if you prefer)
- 1 bottle of Le Grand Courtâge champagne
- Lighter
The process:
- Grab a large punch bowl, preferably with a ladle for pouring
- Mix together the 1 bottle of Winter Wassail and 4 oz of Orange liqueur
- Take 2 sprigs of Rosemary and lightly burn the sprigs over the bowl with your lights. Be very careful not to burn yourself but make sure your rosemary gets smokey. Once smoked, toss into the bowl and stir
- Slowly add in the bag of frozen cranberries (fresh if you prefer however, to get the flavor, muddle a few) and stir
- Ladle half a glass of the mixture into your cup then top off with Le Grand Courtâge champagne and a sprig of fresh rosemary for garnish
Yes Way Rosé Mimosa
This mimosa is perfect for a bridal shower! It combines the sassiness of Rose with the sweetness of actual roses with a tart lemon twist!
What you’ll need:
- 1 bottle of Fentiman’s Rose Lemonade (best bought at Cost Plus World Market)
- 1 lemon, juiced
- 1 lemon, garnish
- 1 bottle of Le Grand Courtâge Brut Rosé
The process:
- Toss the Fentiman’s Rose Lemonade, and the juice of a lemon and ice in a cocktail shaker
- Shake it up better than TSwift
- Pour into your glasses (makes 4-6)
- Top off with Le Grand Courtâge Brut Rosé
- Slay with your ladies!
DISCLAIMER: I am in no way affiliated with Le Grand Courtâge(or any other brands in this article) I just LOVE their champagne!
Please drink responsibly!
