1 | Tell me about your company… What does your company do?
PleaseNotes is a brand of affirmation-filled goods. The whole purpose is to give women high quality products where they can re-discover what they are passionate about, create a plan to make it happen, and be supported with strategic tools so they can create the life they love. It’s been life-changing seeing the ideas and actions people have done by using the goods!
2 | How long have you been working in the journaling and manifesting your destiny industry?
I’ve been involved in personal development for over 5 years now. I started when I lived in Canada, and I had just gotten out of a abusive relationship that ended with a lot of shame. There was victim blaming from his family, my friends and from myself. It was the perfect timing when someone reached out and told me about the Basic Course through PSI and I haven’t looked back. Since starting doing my work, I’ve manifested some amazing things. Great relationships, amazing friends that support me no matter what, amazing apartments, and creating the freedom to move to a whole new country just to start!
3 | What are some challenges you have faced being an entrepreneur?
I think the biggest challenge has been organization and mindset. Figuring out what to do and when and knowing that you can do it. I used to feel really self-conscious asking for help and conveying what I needed. I allowed a old thought process of thinking that I wasn’t good enough to keep me away from hiring support and really doing the actions that would move the needle in for my business. Noticing the fear and doing it anyway can be really exciting when I remind myself of the reason I started down this path anyway.
4 | How much has social media impacted your business?
Social media is huge. These days most people see your Instagram or Facebook page before they visit your website. Just like meeting a new guy, you check out a company’s social media to see what they’re really about, feel out their vibe, and see if you want to deal with them or not. People that connect with you authentically with help you build your tribe.
5 | What motivated you to take the leap and start your own brand?
I think like most entrepreneurs, I was working somewhere that I was over. Not because the company was a bad place to work, because I had this feeling that I needed to do start my own thing, and that I wouldn’t be satisfied until I started doing my own thing. I didn’t have a plan and but my intuition was telling me that it was the right step. Everyone has something special inside of them, just think it pops up at different times for each person. You know how people say, when you take a step in the right direction, God takes two? Well about 2 weeks after I quit I got the idea for PleaseNotes. I’ve always lit up around people who are doing personal development and I love staffing classes and seeing the huge change in people when they realize they are in control of their own limits. I’ve seen people shift their whole lives and I wanted to share that with others.
6 | What advice can you give to your fellow millennial entrepreneurs?
A) No-one ever knows what they’re doing. B) Your best is good enough. C) Things might happen differently then you think, and in a different order, but never give up.
7 | What is your favorite product and why?
OOH! This is like picking a favorite child. It’s definitely between the Journal and the Label of Love. The Journal has the workbook that lets your rediscover your talents, your goals and your priorities among other things. Every page also has a different affirmation or inspirational message from someone who’s inspirational and relatable. I’ve got Bob Proctor and Lisa Nichols, and I’ve also got DJ Khaled, Drake and Serena Williams. People that have persevered and continue to push themselves to do more. The Label of Love is a sweet surprise, and every time I show it people get so excited! It has an aspect you’re wanting to bring more of into your life on the outside, (Joy, Confidence, Abundance, Beauty to name a few) and a matching affirmation on the inside. It’s literally supercharging your water every time you look at it and say the affirmation.
8 | Who is your biggest influencer or inspiration?
My biggest inspiration would be Oprah. She went thorough so much and still kept persevering. Every loss or disappointment was just setting her up for more success, but if you don’t have the right mindset you can’t see it. I feel like one of my greatest superpowers is the same one she has, the ability to see the blessing and the good in every situation.
9 | Do you have any promos that Bossfidence Babes can use to get your products this holidays season?
Of course! Take a look at all the goodies, and get 20% off with the code “Boss”!
