Lehmann Design Haus | CEO Andrew Lehmann Interview

Tell me about your company… What does your company do? What makes you unique in the marketplace?

Lehmann Design Haus designs your home with fragrance- using candles made from pure soy wax produced in the United States and packaging made from recycled materials. We usually think of the word ‘decorating’ as painting a room, hanging some pictures, or buying nice furniture, but Lehmann Design Haus uses fragrance as a form of decoration. Candles have the ability to immerse you into an environment that’s beyond a visual experience.

Who are your customers? What draws you to them and vice versa?

Lehmann Design Haus customers are people who are drawn to and love luxurious things and have an interest in eco-friendly products. I wanted to create a brand that’s timeless but modern. The fragrances are unique; the packing is simple; and these candles really do make the perfect gift for any occasion.

How long have you been in business?

I started research and the design process in January 2016. I was pushing to have a product by May, but I wasn’t ready nor were the candles for that matter. I wanted to make sure I had something fantastic before officially launching. After countless hours of hard work, determination, and a lot of sleepless nights, the launch came November 2nd 2016, but that doesn’t mean the hard work stops there.



Where are you located?

The candles are sold online at lehmanndesignhaus.com and at Mansion Fitness in West Hollywood, California. You’ll be able to find Lehmann Design Haus candles in more locations in the near feature so be sure to follow on Instagram for updates (@lehmanndesignhaus).

 What are some challenges you have faced being an entrepreneur?

The biggest challenge is dealing with the never-ending decisions I have to make on a daily basis. At times it can be overwhelming because I’m the only one behind every aspect of Lehmann Design Haus. I’m forced to wear a lot of different hats but I’ve been so fortunate to have the support of my family and friends. There’s a lot that goes into building a new business from nothing but your dreams.

How much has social media impacted your business?

Social media is what helped Lehmann Design Haus get into New York Fashion week- which when I started this business last year, wasn’t even a thing that entered my mind. A lot of the sales come from online visitors going through instagram and facebook to lehmanndesignhaus.com

Tell me about the process… what extra TLC do you give to your products that other retailers ignore?

Every part of the process that goes into making a Lehmann Design Haus candle is completely done by hand. From creating the fragrances, to pouring and labeling the candles, to even polishing the glass before getting packaged—it’s all done by hand. Each candle is a gift waiting to be discovered. Whether it’s for yourself or a loved one, they fit any occasion.

What are the next steps?

The next steps are to get into more stores and to expand the brand beyond candles. I’m taking my time though because I never want to sacrifice the quality of Lehmann Design Haus products.

Anything else Bossfidence should know about your company? 

I’m ecstatic to grow with this brand. A brand I built around a lifestyle and the ability to design a home with fragrance. There’s so much in store for Lehmann Design Haus’ future but it’s too soon to share. You’ll just have to stay tuned… or maybe keep an eye out.
